I am not one for labels, but if you asked me to describe myself in one word, that word would be Goth.
I was having a conversation with some people and the lack of understanding they showed pushed me to write this post to shed some light….
First, the untruths.
Being Goth has nothing to do with the clothes you wear. Because I am Goth it does not mean my thoughts are evil . It does not mean that I am always angry. Nor does it mean that I always look for pain. These and so much more are all stereotypes, misconceptions and assumptions perpetuated by those who only choose to see the side of things they think is appropriate.
