My response to the Incredible Blogger Marathon Challenge by Its PH . Thanks to agirlwowrites, I found this challenge on her site. This is day nine. One more to go…
I’m almost done 😀
Look at something with a different perspective
I used to think that if you had no-one who related with or talked to you, that you were lonely. I grew out of that and something I read assured me and gave me a new perspective on the word lonely
If you’ve gone through my blog, you know I have a section where I am summarising each of the noveld in the Wardstone Chronicles. I came across this whilst reading:
How can you be lonely? You’ve got yourself, haven’t you? If you ever lose yourself, then you’ll really be lonely…
Often, as I have said before, we rely too much on other human beings. So much that life seems to end when we lose those people or they suddenly change.
Many a time when we feel down and out of sorts and think we need the company of someone else. When we feel lonely, we forget we have someone, who is always with us through good times and bad.
Through the highs and lows, the successes and fails. That someone is always there, every waking moment of every waking hour. Even when we go to sleep they are with us.
That someone is… ourselves. No-one knows how you feel more that you do. No-one knows what you need more than you do. No-one knows you more than you know you know yourself.
At the end of the day, your true best friend is you. You will never betray yourself. You will never break your own trust. You will never shatter your own heart. Only another person would do that to you.
So, as long as you have yourself, you will never be lonely

“No-one knows what you need more than you do.” So true. And sometimes the way I am surprises even me. Solitude is a fun place to be in, definitely! 🙂
